This was, ostensibly, the 8th attempted assassination on the life of the Paramount Chief of the Aowin Traditional Area.

Meanwhile, Messrs Famieh Duncan, Yamoah and Mussey are the criminal masterminds behind these attacks—the undercurrents of which remain trying to oust the Omanhene by fair or foul means.

However, these people lost the case at the Western Regional House of Chiefs in Sekondi on 10th September, 2020. An appeal is currently pending at the National House of Chiefs, Kumasi. Despite this, the Ellis Famieh Duncan faction is claiming to have won the case and hence, they have the power to mobilise mercenaries to commit murder to advance their cause.

This is indeed despicable and despondent but it’s up to the IGP and the state security apparatus to explore the evidences and the plethora of information available to ensure peace reigns supreme.
